HISTORY
Earthtec
Constructions Pty Limited (ECPL) was established
to provide specialist design and construction
services to the Civil Engineering construction
industry in relation to Gabions, Reno Mattress, Rockfall
Protection, Block Walls, Crib Walls and related
works.
ECPL's
personnel have over 15 years industry experience and
have been involved with the most significant gabion
and Reno Mattress structures built so far in Australia
including the Alpine Way reconstruction followitn the
Thredbo Landslide, most of the major Olympic works,
the Bondi Beach mattress revetments and many similar
projects throughout Australia.
Typical
project range from complete Design and Construction
solutions to main contract or subcontract installations
and can vary in size from $2,000 to $2 million. Earthtec
staff's industry experience is unique and extends over
15 years and 800+ projects with total production exceeding
1 million square metres.

PERSONNEL
Construction
crews operate nomadically but are primarily based in
New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria/South Australia
to reflect the current demand for our services. However,
remote projects present no problem with local resources
being utilised to augment our experienced crews as required.
Alan
Moss BSc Hons, MBA, CP Eng, MIE Aust, NPER - Managing
Director Alan has over 15 years (600+ projects)
experience in retaining wall, soil reinforcement and
erosion control with particular emphasis on gabion applications. Past
projects include many of the first Terramesh design
and contruct retaining walls in Australia, Bondi Beach
Seawall revetments Phase II & III, Olympics 2000
(Haslams Creek) Terramesh/Gravity Walls (12,000cu.m)
and the restoration of the Alpine Way Stage I, II and
III at Thredbo following the Thredbo Landslip. In
addition Alan has served on the Australian Standards
Committee for the New Retaining Wall & Soil Reinforcement
Standard.
Kelvin
Predo - Senior Project Foreman Kelvin has over
5 years practical experience in gabion and related works
and has completed over 150 projects mainly in Queensland
and Western Australia. He has experience in all types
of gabions, mattress and rockfall protection works and
supervised projects ranging in value from $10,000 to
$400,000 including Kinka Beach Revetment, Lake Argyle
Dam rock protection works.
Dave Cullen - Project Foreman Dave has 7 years experience
in gabions and related works and has completed over
200 projects including retaining wall, erosion protection,
rockfall netting and segmental block walls. Dave has
supervised projects ranging $10,000 to $150,000.
Greg
McDonald - Project Foreman Greg has 5 years experience
in gabions and related works and has completed over
200 projects including retaining walls, erosion protection.
Greg has supervised projects ranging in value from $10,000
To $1,000,000 including the Alpine Way Gabion works
(12,000cu.m) and Humphreys River, Tasmania (5,000cu.m).
Dan
Stephens - Project Foreman Dan has 4 years experience
in gabions and crib walls and has completed 40+ projects
including the supervision of works ranging in value
from $40,000 to $130,000. Past projects include Alpine
Way Thredbo (12,000cu.m) and Raymond Terrace (1,000cu.m).
